By creating an account on GHGCalculate.com (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

GHGCalculate.com is a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting tool designed to help organizations estimate their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in accordance with the principles of the GHG Protocol. Results are estimates only and are not independently verified or certified.

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of all data and activity information you enter.
• Ensuring that your use of results complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to advertising and marketing rules.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

4. Emissions Data and Disclaimer

Emission factors used by this Platform are sourced from publicly available databases and are subject to change. The Platform makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the emission factors or results for any particular purpose. Results should not be used as the sole basis for regulatory reporting without independent verification.

5. Greenwashing and Environmental Claims

Users are reminded that making false or misleading environmental claims based on GHG reports may constitute a violation of the Competition Act (Canada). We encourage users to review the Competition Bureau Canada guidance on environmental claims before publishing results.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and content of this Platform is the property of GHGCalculate.com. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

7. Privacy

We collect only the information necessary to operate your account (email address, username, company name, and sector). We do not sell your data to third parties. Account data may be used in aggregate, anonymized form to display platform-wide emissions statistics on the landing page.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GHGCalculate.com and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on its results.
