What do you get from the platform?

A calculation of your GHG emissions in the categories:

  • Scope 1 - Direct emissions from assets you control.
  • Scope 2 - Indirect emissions from purchased energy, including electricity, heating, and cooling.
  • Scope 3 - Emissions from your upstream and downstream value chain, including purchased goods and services, transport and distribution, waste etc.

To estimate a company's GHG emissions, you need to collect information about your company’s activities in a reporting year, e.g. energy bills, gas receipts, invoices from suppliers and other relevant insights. This information is coupled with the platform’s emissions data to calculate your carbon footprint.

Live user GHG emissions across scope 1, 2, and 3.

How it works

The platform contains a range of GHG emission factors that enable you to estimate emissions from your company's activities. Emission factors convert company activities to GHG emissions, e.g. fuel use in company cars (scope 1), electricity use at your office (scope 2), and purchases of computers (scope 3).

What do you NOT get from the platform?

The platform does not provide external review or verification of your results. The platform makes available emission factors and helps you estimate emissions based on your input. It does not verify your input data. If you have set out to estimate company emissions for compliance purposes and you are required to get external verification or independent assurance of your GHG report, you should reach out to an accountant or assurer that has experience and is equipped to competently handle this process. It is recommended to reach out to your accountant or assurer as early in the process as possible. GHG accounting is still a developing discipline, and different assurers may have different ways to assess the relevance, completeness, consistency, transparency, and accuracy of your GHG information.
